Puma & Bobcat Sightings Map
While many people are confident they've seen a puma, not all of these sightings are accurate. The map below includes both confirmed and unverified puma sightings in the larger San Francisco Bay region (and beyond) since 2004.
Over time, this will help us evaluate problem areas, movement barriers for wildlife, and potential for human-puma conflict.

Here is the video of the mountain lion that was recorded by my neighbor on August 4th around 10:04pm. As soon as she was about to turn on Eaglehill Rd, she spotted something behind the small oak tree right across our mailbox. She waited and flashed her lights realizing it was a big cat, so she started recording. It then walked across by the mailbox through the trees and shrubs where she couldn't record any more. Last time she saw the mountain lion was last Thursday on August 13th on Vega Rd and Marie Ln.

Opened sliding doors to call for our housecat, then saw what looked like a deer at first ( it was the size and color of a small doe, and it was dark out ), walking east to west right in the driveway directly in front of the patio, 15 feet away. Realized it was a Puma, and scared it off, it retreated to the hill to the east and crouched in the bushes. Got a flashlight, alerted rest of family, all 4 of us came out, the guys threw rocks to scare it off further, saw it jump then disappear over the ridge. This happened 1 week after our immediate neighbor told us a fawn was killed in his orchard by a large Puma, based on the size of the claw marks.
