Puma & Bobcat Sightings Map

Large Mountain Lion crossed in front of my car and I could see it clearly in my headlights. Naturally, not enough time to get out the camera to take a picture before it went to the other side of the street and into the darkness. Was a very large cat, likely 150+ pounds.

Big Cat!! We noticed one of our goats missing in the morning. My mom was feeding her horses when she saw a large puma running past her at the closest about 80 feet from where she stood. Confirmed that the goat was killed and mostly eaten this morning of March 7, 2017

In a park off Page Mill Road, south west of Palo Alto. The cat came out from brush behind the bathroom. I was sitting in the car. Charlie was in the bathroom. At first I thought it was a dog, then a bear, but when it stopped, still staring at me, I figured out it was a giant cat. The cat stopped at the edge of the building right between the pole and the building. Charlie came out of the bathroom (cat didn't move) and walked back and got into the car. I pointed out the cat. Charlie didn't believe me at first. Then, after maybe a minute or two, the cat turned and as the cat walked away, Charlie exclaimed "That's a mountain lion. The tail, the curvature of the tail..." That bathroom was at the edge of the parkinglot, so that cat was pretty far down the hill. But there had been plenty of wild turkeys and dear in the meadow next to that bathroom... I don't want anyone to hurt the cat. He (and I'm pretty sure it was a he because of the size) was beautiful, maybe 200 lbs at least. No white areas on him but black markings on his face, I am fairly sure. I don't have the location marked exactly right on the map, I don't think. But I can ask charlie to be sure. I am pretty sure it is foothill preserve. I only want to give an exact location if I am certain that your purposes will be to help the cat. Thank you.

There is an old yellow truck parked on a property that is right up against the intersection between Scenic and Greenbank. The puma was in the process of crawling under the truck when my headlights illuminated it. Tried to get a picture, but it left before I could.

Mt. Lion seen on road.

While driving west from Polhemus toward Sawyer Camp Trail about halfway between those two points, I spotted a puma on the right side of the road, just where the road meets the vegetation... it was bounding up the hill through the brush. I saw the whole cat. Head to tail. It was very close to 9:20pm.

Thought it was a big coyote on the hill and then noticed how long it's tail was and how it's movements were more catlike. I have a video on my phone but it is not letting me attach it because of the format

Was walking towards porta potty at end of spin yarn beginning of RC parking lot .looked up seen it trotting south on train tracks then down embankment towards container place.it was '4 long 26-30" tall, had small head w pointy ears and '3 1/2 long ,thick tail

This cat has been spotted twice in our back yard by two different neighbors in the past month. The second time it killed a stray cat and carried it up Pine Ave towards Shingle Mill Creek.

On Wednesday night, our surveillance camera captured footage of a mountain lion running down the driveway. Additionally, my husband heard the lion outside and heard it take down a deer. He then observed it in our yard for over an hour eating the deer before we scared it away with music. The next morning we cleaned up the kill carcass to discourage its return. Let me know if you'd like the video of the lion or a photo of the kill. Both files are too large to attach.

Two full grown mountain lions in our driveway and side yard. Saw it live, and also have footage from our security cameras. Photo is a still from the video and not too good. I can send the video if you'd like which shows two lions.

Heard a ruckus outside and looked out the front door. A large puma (200 lbs?) walked right past the front door.

Large collared Cougar caught walking past trail cam. I have a short infrared video of the nighttime sighting as well.

Adult puma seen by police officer (with wildlife experience) while walking dog. Puma did not react. Presence known to other neighbors. Reports of pumas in this location over last ten years

Large black cat long tail about the size of a German Shepard dog 100 ft away

Wearing tracking collar. Probably same cat seen earlier in Feb, likely 42M.
