Puma & Bobcat Sightings Map

(This is for tonight. The year 2019 was not available so I put 2018.) I was inside when a friend came in and said there are huge paw prints outside. I went out and saw several huge paw prints that were not there an hour earlier when I arrived. The tracks seemed to have come from behind the building then around my car and the front of the building then back. If it's not a mountain lion I'd like to know what it was.

We spotted this large mountain lion on the Testarossa winery. She saw us too and stayed secluded in the brush, keeping an eye on us for over an hour and a half while we watched from afar with binoculars and camera on tripod. The cat was relaxed and laying down, even resting her head on the ground and napping. I made a few sudden movements and she got up and calmly walked away.

2/5/2019 found on rural residential property a large dead deer that was skinned. Obvious marks on body from predators.

Mountain lion was beneath persimmon tree, crouched when made eye contact with me (from behind window) and crept toward me 5 paces before making a U-turn to go down in the covered brush.

Saw puma sitting under this tree in field opposite Mockingbird Hill entrance to Quicksilver Cty Park. Was sitting but got up and walked away towards condo at the back of the large field. Deer abound in this area and we live close by bordering the County. Park. Our second sighting of a lion in broad daylight in this exact location. We stop and look every time we come up or down the street.Were amazed to see it in the exact same spot under this oak tree

I was riding on the cottle trail in Calero when I spotted the puma on the trail. When it saw me it started walking away along the trail for a bit before turning north off the trail into the brush. When it found some better cover at a large bush it paused to stare at me.

Raised blinds inside house at 6:57am, my eye was immediately drawn to motion beneath tree in yard where a mountain lion stood in crouch position staring at me!! It crept about 5 steps toward me then u-turned and decended down into covered brushland, giving me full-view of it's long tail with dark tip. Have caught bobcat on camera but never this!

Lion walking under deck. Comes every 2 weeks.

Young puma (30- to 40 lbs) in hillside backyard (unfenced). Chased down, attacked and killed large squirrel. Walked off with prey hanging in mouth. We were not able to capture a photo.

Hiking on Bay Area Ridge trail (about 1.5 miles from trailhead on Lucas Valley Road). When my dog started barking at something above the trail. Quickly a 150-200 pound mountain lion (tan in color) ran from above the trail, across the trail, and then down in to the ravine. My dog proceeded to chase it and bark at it (to my horror) but thankfully the cat was long gone. We turned around and returned to our car at that point.

We live past the park on Mockingbird Hill Ln. As we drove up early pm today we spotted a large animal under the tree in the middle of the field opposite the entrance to the Cty Park. Parked our car & walked over, thinking maybe a large coyote or bobcat. Very soon we thought it was a lion. It was We stopped and stood still.He spotted us and slowly strolled onto and across the trail heading to the private part of Mockingbird Hill Lane and into the park. Unmistakeably a lion, from his size and gait. We see wildlife all the time and this was no bobcat. Wish we had our camera and zoom with us.

Small puma with radio collar sighted in the Olympia Circle neighborhood. Puma was sitting behind parked car.
