Puma & Bobcat Sightings Map

He was seen and  could tell he was huge and coming down from like the backyards like if he was looking for food or something maybe wanted to get in the yards he did nor see us and kept going down he was tan in color. There is no warning signs of wild animals there at all and lots of older people and kids walk that trail.

Bobcat came in yard. Interested in squirrels and probably the chickens next door. Saw a second time. Popping head from under fence.

Mountain lion spotted around 11:10PM PT.

On several occasions I’ve seen a bobcat near the little farm in Tilden in the mornings. This is the only sighting I have a photo for.

I was eating dinner outside by myself at 7PM - I dropped my family off at the airport earlier in the day so it was quiet! I heard two hawks, a crow and a squirrel going nuts - all the sudden I see a bobcat on the corner of my property by the creek. Our back property is a pinch point for many wildlife traversing from Lafayette reservoir to orinda open space preserve.

anyway, I have video to prove it. I only got it in the first 4 seconds before he went out of sight. Around 40 seconds you can hear it scurry away out of sight. Probably by the ephemeral creek btwn my house and 232 Hall drive.

I walked out on my porch at 11:45PM and could not see the cat. It was approximately 50 yards away in the brush. It screeched at me and sounded like a screaming woman in pain. I made loud noises to try and scare it off but it did not immediately retreat. It then retreated a little bit away from me and to the side. I saw its eyes with a flashlight. I suspect it was a mid sized cougar, but I could not see it.

Very Beautiful cat. It was chasing a bird when I seen it jump straight up in the air about 8-10 feet swatting a blue jay. Amazing creature. It didn't seem too concerned about me being 15-20ft away as it continued on with it's hunt and disappeared into the brush in a riverbed near Corona Lake.  Smaller in size than I would expect. Possibly a female approx. 20lbs. Little larger and stalkier than a healthy house cat but with a deep,fierce growling meow. Made my day....

Ring camera picked up two cats running across the driveway, in the first two seconds of video. 

It was up a couple feet in a tree. It wasn’t visible or making any noise until my dog walked over towards the tree (unknowingly) it’s a common spot for her to smell around. Then as I approached the tree we heard a rustling of tree limbs and claws scratching on the bark.. it jumped and ran off towards the trail behind our house. The ears appeared white as it disappeared into the darkness. We’ve been noticing odd droppings on the trail, we thought they were from a stray dog that maybe ate a blanket bc it looked like white cloth. After further inspection we realized there was small bones in the droppings and lots of hair. It’s so odd bc it’s not a very heavily wooded area. Lots of traffic. I googled “bobcat den”, there are multiple spots on the trail that look identical to the bobcat den pictures from google.

Saw it on one of our school campuses this evening, I can pull up the security video tomorrow if needed/wanted.
